Hemp linen large wrap botanically dyed and printed with a variety of locally foraged plants, dominant being the smudgy strong prints of the spider gum and vibrant orange of the eucalyptus leaves.  The base colour of the fabric is a dark aubergine and the prints range from charcoal to rusty orange with some dark olive green. This piece is a special one - very dark and a little abstract.  The base colour has been achieved by boiling the bundle in water laden with bark and other plant material.  The scribbled lines of casuarina and filigree detail of carpet geranium provide additional surface detail to a very strong print.

Finished with a 2.5 mm rolled hem.

Print 1/12Mar20 features spider gum, eucalyptus, leucadendron, carpet geranium, lemon verbena and casuarina with a eucalyptus botanical dye.
