Cotton muslin scarf - Print 3/10Aug20
Size 60 x 144
A fine cotton muslin gauze, botanically printed with carpet geranium, erodium and eucalyptus. A floaty scarf with a charcoal monotone print reminiscent of a stipple drawing, subtle and soft. The erodium is part of the pelargonium family and is in fact an invasive weed. It is an annual with a very short lifespan, and typically prints in this dotty way. I have printed off both the leaves and the seed heads and the dots are most obvious in the leaf print. This piece has a white base with rusty edges.
Finished with a 1.5 mm rolled hem.
Print 3/10Aug2019 features carpet geranium, erodium and eucalyptus.
